The Robinson track is situated in the springs Junction area of the Lewis pass national reserve. Following up the beautiful Robinson river, this is surely a most beautiful walk. The peacefulness of the crystal clear river, forest, ferns, shrubs, toi toi, and the sound of the native birds before arriving at the accommodation hut with the most tranquil setting you could imagine. Journey with us the next day over the Robinson pass, with the most scenic mountain and waterfall views, it is absolutely splendid! Next we travel down the mountain pass to the beautiful setting of the Lake Christabel hut not far from the beautiful lake. This lake is the home to NZ native trout which have survived due to its isolation from other exotic fish species. If your very fortunate, you may catch a glimpse of the rear native Falcon - an absolutely beautiful bird. The Robinson Track is a four day walk which is very special.
